My Mom has a friend who is a commercial lawyer. I'm not so sure if I'm getting the definition of a commercial lawyer right. As from what I was told, they negotiate terms/proposals between companies so it's part of business? Can anyone help me clarify this?

What does it take to become a commercial lawyer? are they different from just plain “lawyers”? thanks!
